President Robert W. Flores Announces Resignation

Dear Life Pacific College Community and Alumni,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am announcing President Robert Flores is transitioning from his role at Life Pacific College and will be seeking his next assignment. He has submitted his resignation and in an announcement to the LPC community, Dr. Flores states,

"In the last few days, I have been actively praying and have come to the conclusion that Life Pacific College requires a different kind of leader serving in the presidential role to lead this school into its next years of greatness. In light of this, I feel very strongly that it is time for me to step aside and encourage the process of finding such a leader. I deeply love and respect Life Pacific College and its staff, faculty, students, and Board. I know LPC’s greatest days are ahead."

Life Pacific College, in partnership with the Board of Trustees, is deeply thankful for Robert’s leadership and contributions to the institution. His commitment to mission and the energy and passion with which he has served is noteworthy. Robert and DeeDee will always be recognized for their achievements in leading the college.

The College will continue to move forward during this transition and remains dedicated to its strengths, which include unwavering commitment to mission, vitality of the student body, stability of current leadership, dedicated faculty and staff, and its rich heritage of Christian service made possible through thousands of alumni around the world.

The Board of Trustees has appointed Vice President, Angie Richey, as Acting President. She will assume the role on January 1, 2013 and serve until an Interim President is selected. The Board of Trustees will soon be forming a presidential search committee, which will include representatives from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and trustees.

Robert will conclude his presidential role on December 31, 2012 and serve as a consultant to the Board of Trustees through May 30, 2013. He states, “Leading this school for the last four and a half years has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.” The Board, staff, and faculty wish Robert and DeeDee immense blessing and God’s best in this next season.

Carry On.
