FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You must complete this application to receive financial aid, but the process can be overwhelming. If you don't apply, you will lose out on grants, scholarships, and student loan opportunities that can help you pay for school. We want to help so the LPU Financial Aid team is offering free FAFSA workshops for new students. When you attend a workshop, you will learn everything you need to know about financial aid and you will complete your FAFSA with the help of our financial aid counselors.
How To Prepare for the Workshop
You and your parent must create a free account in order to complete the FAFSA. Your account, also known as an FSA ID, may take 2-3 business days to activate, so make sure you do this as soon as possible. Click here to create an account. If you have trouble setting up your account, give us a call at (909) 706-3012.
To make sure you can complete the FAFSA successfully, you should bring a few important documents.
- A copy of the parent's 2018 Federal tax returns (1050 and all schedules 1, 2, and 3)
- A copy of the student's 2018 Federal tax returns, if the student filed taxes
- Copies of 2018 W2's
These documents are used to evaluate your financial aid eligibility. If you don't have access to these documents or have any concerns, please give us a call at (909) 706-3012.
