Bala Musa, Ph.D.

Bala Musa is a Professor of Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific University.  He holds a Ph.D. from Regent University and has worked as both author and editor of many scholarly publications.  He serves on several editorial boards of academic journals, governing councils of non-profit organizations, and leadership boards of churches and para-church organizations.  Bala’s scholarship, publications, and research interests include Media Ethics and Press Freedom, Communication and Human Rights, Mass Media and Conflict Transformation, Ethics in Social and New Media, Media and Religion, as well as Mass Media and National Development, among others.  Bala has taught graduate and undergraduate communication and leadership courses, and has also consulted for professional organizations in North America, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. Bala, his wife Maureen (a nurse practitioner), and their three children live in Southern California.
