San Dimas, CALIF. – Life Pacific University welcomes Pastor Larry Walker, anointed worship artist and songwriter, as vocal instructor in the Worship Arts and Media program.

Pastor Larry James Walker II has shared the stage and the studio with some of today’s biggest and brightest stars including Alicia Keys, Will.I.Am, The Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Faith Hill, Estelle, Israel Houghton, and Kirk Franklin. Most recently Pastor Walker participated in the Maverick City Songwriting Camp where he co-wrote songs for the acclaimed Housefires.

Worship Arts and Media Program Chair Steven Felix-Jager states, “Larry is an anointed dude! We had him guest speak for one of our WAM Forum sessions to do a vocal workshop, and he just knocked it out of the park. We all witnessed him working live with two of our students and he got instant results – everyone was blown away!”

Pastor Walker will serve as one of four specialists (music, stage, leadership, and voice) that work with the LPU Chapel teams. Pastor Walker will be working primarily with vocalists. He will also join the LPU faculty alongside Dr. Beverly Crain and Jessica Cabral Muchow, teaching private vocal lessons.

A committed servant of God, Pastor Walker has dedicated many years of service to the local church. Among his greatest honors is his current role as the Worship & Creative Pastor of Redeemed Life in Azusa, CA. He leads a dynamic team of talented world changers alongside his wife of sixteen years Gifty.

Pastor Walker is also the founder of Ascension, a kingdom focused creative community and content incubator. There he can be found creating, producing, helping fellow artists, houses of worship, production companies, and corporate brands build musical moments in the studio, on television/film projects, and on the stage.

When reflecting on Pastor Walker’s time at the WAM Forum session, Dr. Felix-Jager said, “The best part was that the Holy Spirit was very present during the workshop. It made me think...'we gotta get this guy here!' The whole program is stoked that he's coming, and his joyful demeanor and big personality will be such a blessing for our campus."

Walking into this new role, Pastor Walker states, “My heart is humbled and expectant as I step faithfully into all the incredible things that God is unfolding in this season! I am honored to join the mighty cloud of witnesses among the faculty, staff, and students at Life Pacific University!"
