Dear LPU Students,

We’re BACK, LPU!

We are thrilled for new and returning students to be on campus this fall!

Most of the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in LA County, including mask mandates for vaccinated individuals. We expect that the fall will resemble a normal school year with in-person instruction and activities. As you plan your fall return this coming semester, below you will find a few key updates to know:

  • All TUG classes will be in-person for the fall semester. Traditional Undergraduate Students will return to in-person classes and abide by course outline policies. We care about your welfare and will continue to follow all guidelines provided to Higher Education Institutions (HEI) by the LA County Public Health Department. You can expect to receive more details soon regarding the Fall Safe Return plan.
  • The LPU Residence Halls will be open. The residence halls will be open for students to live on campus. This is such an essential part of life here at LPU. We are thrilled to announce that Residence Life programming will also resume in accordance with LA County guidelines for events and activities.
  • $1,000 Housing Scholarship: If you are a returning student, don’t miss the chance to win a $1,000 housing scholarship! Fill out the Housing Agreement Form by July 9 to be entered into the raffle. If you have already filled out the housing agreement form, you have been entered into the raffle.
  • Dining services will continue to be open in accordance with LA County protocols. We expect indoor dining to resemble a normal school year.
  • Campus offices will reopen for in-person work. Many LPU staff and faculty with non-essential on-campus functions have been working remotely this year. All staff and faculty will be returning to campus this summer by July 1.
  • LPU Athletics is happening! LPU Athletics will resume training and competition in accordance with state and county guidance. Go Warriors!

You may have questions about the fall experience, and we will continue to update you throughout the summer. Be sure to check your emails, the website, and LPU social media accounts.

Enjoy your summer! We cannot wait to see you in August. For new students, move-in begins on August 27, followed by New Student Orientation. For returning students, move-in begins on August 28. The first day of classes is August 30, and our first Chapel of the year will be held on August 31.

As you return, you will see many campus upgrades like the new outdoor sand volleyball courts and the groundbreaking on the Aimee Semple McPherson Digital Media Studios system, including upgrades to the Chapel and renovations to Classroom 119. There are many exciting things ahead!

We will be together again very soon!

Rise with Courage,

Angie Richey
President
