On the first Saturday in December, the City of San Dimas gathered together to celebrate the holiday season with the 10th Annual Holiday Extravaganza. Life Pacific University has been proud to call the City of San Dimas home for 29 years and always enjoys being a part of this special celebration.

This event marks the end of a very important year in the life of LPU, having transitioned from a college to a university, becoming first four-year university in the city. This celebration was extra special as newly appointed Life Pacific University President Angie Richey was selected as the first-ever Grand Marshal of the San Dimas Holiday Parade!

As this year’s “Let It Snow” Parade began, President Richey and members of the LPU community made their way through downtown San Dimas, distributing candy and LPU branded merchandise. In addition to those walking in the parade, LPU represented in the audience too!

“I am honored to participate as the Grand Marshall of the San Dimas Holiday Parade and grateful that our partnerships with the City of San Dimas continue to flourish,” says President Richey. “The San Dimas Holiday Extravaganza is always an exciting time for the LPU community and a great opportunity to share the love of Christ with our city.”

LPU Vice President of Student Development George Bostanic says, “I’m excited that LPU was able to participate in this special holiday event. This parade has become a tradition and it’s fun celebrating with our San Dimas community. We love our neighbors and this community, and it is an honor and privilege to be able to represent LPU every year.”

The San Dimas Holiday Extravaganza also included games, musical entertainment, a puppy petting zoo, food trucks, and a Christmas tree lighting.

Life Pacific faculty, staff, and students are already looking forward to next year’s event, always looking for new ways to serve the city that we call home.
