Riley Tapp Psychology MajorRylee Tapp, '17 B.A. Human Development & Psychology

HIRED: Full Time Clinician | Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services

After completing my B.A. in Human Development and Psychology at LPU, I took a short break and then jumped into a 2.5 year program at APU, to earn my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology: Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. With the field relevant training and biblical foundation I received in my undergrad at LPU, I was well equipped to begin serving as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at internships for a large church and a group home for foster youth while earning my masters degree. Shortly after graduating this June, I applied for and received a position as a full time clinician for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services in Pasadena. In this role, I will be providing mental health services for transition-aged youth (16-25) and adults, most of which have been left homeless after “aging out” of the foster system and struggling with severe mental illness. I am so excited to partner with this company on making their mission of cultivating hope and resilience to enrich the well-being of children, adults, families and communities a reality!

Jose Mora Hope Tri-Cities InternshipJose Mora | Internship with HOPE TRI-CITIES

Richland, WA

"I’m served as a Summer Intern at HOPE Tri-Cities church in Richland, WA. I served under the Executive Pastor at HOPE which allowed me to dip my feet in many areas of the church from the Finance and Communications departments to Youth ministry. I’ve had the awesome opportunity to preach on a Sunday service and I’ve been a part of igniting the new Young Adults ministry, which as been a blast and was my favorite part about the internship. This internship has helped me to see that church is more than just within the four walls during Sunday services and it’s also taught me to value every person for who they are in Christ. I’m so grateful to HOPE for this summer!"
