LIFE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY CONTINUES TO RISE THROUGH THE RANKS AMONG NATIONAL COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
San Dimas, CALIF. – Life Pacific University was recently recognized in three national rankings in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges.
Life Pacific University ranked 7th in Top Performers on Social Mobility among regional colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report, up from the 9th place ranking the previous year. Social mobility is an indicator that measures how well schools graduate students who received Pell Grants. Life Pacific University is proud to be awarded this ranking as the university works to change the course of incoming students’ socio-economic standing and helps low-income students graduate and enter higher income brackets.
In addition, LPU ranked 11th for the Best Value and Economic Diversity in the West. These rankings are indicative of academic quality relative price paid by undergraduates, percentage of all full-time undergraduates receiving need-based scholarships or grants, average discount from the school’s total sticker price for full-time undergraduates, and percentage of undergraduate students who received need-based aid and grants or scholarships.
President Angie Richey states, “LPU’s mission is the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the church, the workplace, and the world. This recognition confirms the transformation that each student experiences at LPU. I am thrilled that LPU is advancing in rankings and even more thrilled to see our students making a difference in the lives of their families and communities.
Overall, LPU ranked 17th among the Best Regional Colleges in the West, five places higher since 2020. This ranking is based on factors such as the student-faculty ratio and average federal loan debt of graduates.
Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Daniel Ruarte, states, “It is so easy to focus on the challenges we have faced this past year, but I thank God that even in the midst of this, He has sustained us. Reflecting on how we have moved up on all these rankings, it is just one more reason to be grateful. This is the effort of so many LPU staff and faculty that makes LPU the place it is. Let’s continue to Build Forward!”
