We are excited to announce the arrival of new academic program offerings at Life Pacific University! Each new degree program and concentration has been developed to give our students a richer academic experience while also equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in their calling. Both undergraduate and graduate students can expect to see new additions to the line up as early as January 2020.

The first program scheduled to roll out in 2020 is the Master of Arts in Theological Studies. This comes after the recent launch of the M.A. in Leadership degree program for Spanish-speaking students as well as the B.A. in Organizational Management program for online degree completion students. It is nothing short of thrilling to be able to develop and offer programs for those seeking to complete their undergraduate degree or enhance their education through graduate studies.

The new year will also bring great additions to our undergraduate programs. The Academic’s Office is developing a Bachelor of Arts in Education / Teacher Preparation, planned to launch in the fall of 2020. Additionally, an online Associates of Arts is in the work. This program would allow non-traditional, undergraduate students to complete an entire degree online with LPU. More information about these programs will become available as we grow closer to the launch dates.

Several undergraduate degree concentrations are also slated to arrive in the coming year.

Five new concentrations for the B.A. in Human Development and Psychology program will be added beginning in 2020. New concentrations include: educational psychology, forensic psychology, counseling, and social work. These specialized concentrations will give students the opportunity to learn how to properly research, understand and counsel unique people groups.

The Worship Arts and Ministry department will add a few new degree concentrations to their programs as well. WAM students will soon have the option to add concentrations such as music performance, music production, and creative arts to their degree. The specializations will certainly allow students to hone their craft and become well equipped to make a positive impact in the arts.

The Communication department will add concentrations in digital media production and public relations. These disciplines will equip students to succeed in growing job markets within the field of communication.

We will continue to offer the same concentrations for our bible and ministry degree programs. Students will have the option to choose from concentrations such as youth ministry, pastoral counseling, pastoral ministry, worship, and intercultural studies.

The heart of developing new programs and degree concentrations is to provide students with the tools they need to be successful in their ministry. “System-wide innovations, expanding programs, and a biblical university structure will allow Life Pacific University to remain relevant to the changing needs of current and future students while maintaining strict adherence to our mission and values,” Life Pacific President Jim J. Adams, Ed.D. says. Whether they have been called to serve in the church, marketplace, or on foreign soil, we want to ensure that our students are spiritually and academically equipped to spread the gospel in their chosen fields with excellence.
