SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Life Pacific University is pleased to announce Professor Aimee Selby as the 2021 Professor of the Year

Professor Selby, Director of Global Life and Visiting Instructor teaching in the Transformational Ministry program, was selected by her peers as the 2021 Professor of the Year, the highest honor awarded annually to LPU faculty. Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Daniel Ruarte says, "I want to congratulate Aimee on this recognition as Faculty of the Year. She has been leading Global Life with excellence and most importantly HEART. She pours her heart in this role as director and in the classroom as professor. This is evident to the students, faculty, and staff. Thank you for doing this with all your heart, Aimee. You deserve this award!”

When reflecting on this award, Aimee said, "I serve among a group of men and women who are spiritual giants – brilliant, passionate, dedicated, Christ-honoring, world changers. It’s a privilege just to get to serve among them. To be selected by them as professor of the year is an honor that humbles and moves me deeply!"

As an alumni of LPU, Aimee says that God used her time as a student at LPU to mold, inspire, and transform the course of her life. She recalls being shaped by the men and women that served as her professors at LIFE and the investment made inside and outside the classroom. "I love that I get to follow their examples as I pour what I’ve been given into the next generation of leaders. It’s exciting and humbling to get to be part of my students’ spiritual journeys, and to watch them grow into mighty men and women of the Lord."

To celebrate LPU's distinguished faculty, the City of San Dimas Chamber of Commerce provided a plaque for engraving the names of Life Pacific’s Professor of the Year recipients. Professor Aimee Selby's name joins those of esteemed colleagues: Dr. Mick Bates, who was the first recipient of the award in 2016; Dr. Karen Tremper, in 2017; Dr. Dan Stewart, in 2018, Dr. Gayle Samples in 2019, and Dr. Steven Felix-Jager in 2020.
