San Dimas, CALIF. – Life Pacific University was recently recognized in two national rankings, the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges and Learn.org’s Best Online Colleges in California.

Life Pacific University ranked #9 in Top Performers on Social Mobility among regional colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report. Social mobility is an indicator that measures how well schools graduated students who received Pell Grants. Life Pacific University is proud to be awarded this ranking as the university works to change the course of incoming students’ socio-economic standing and helps low income students graduate and enter higher income brackets.

President Angie Richey states, “LPU’s mission is the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the church, the workplace, and the world. This recognition confirms the transformation that each student experiences at LPU to grow and thrive as leaders. I am thrilled that LPU has earned this ranking and even more thrilled to see our students making a difference in the lives of their families and communities.”

In addition, Learn.org ranked LPU #17 among the Best Online Colleges in California. This ranking is based on factors such as flexibility, cost, prerequisites, and program length. With its growth in online AA, Degree Completion, and master’s level programs, LPU is a recognized leader among private, Christian higher education institutions for the strength of its remote learning.

Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Daniel Ruarte states, “It is due to a committed team of faculty, staff, and university partners who serve God at LPU by providing top quality education and services, that we could accomplish such rankings. I am so proud of the LPU team for their commitment to impact and transform our students’ lives. My hope is that we see continual improvement and I would love to see LPU rise to the top in future years.”

"It is exciting to see LPU recognized for these rankins. LPU is small, but mighty."

An alumnus of the university, Director of Enrollment Management Matthew Tapp adds, “As someone whose role means I’m always sharing about LPU with other people, it is exciting to see LPU recognized for these rankings. LPU is small, but mighty. We have been doing incredible work for many years – transforming students into leaders who serve God all over the world! Being recognized for this work is validating and I hope it gives future students, current students, and alumni confidence and pride in their university!”
