Need help with a specific class? The Academic Resource Center provides support for students to demonstrate core competencies and individual program goals. This is done through group study sessions and one-on-one tutoring.
The writing center is designed to help improve student’s writing skills and ensure assignments have limited grammar and spelling errors before they are submitted for grading. Students may submit essay assignments to the writing center for proofreading prior to submitting the assignment to their professor for grading. The writing center will return the assignment to the student with feedback and revisions to help improve the student’s writing. The writing center is a free service to all undergraduate LPC students. Students may set up an appointment with the writing center by emailing writingcenter@lifepacific.edu.
The Life Challenges program is designed to serve students with disabilities, ensuring the college develops a learning environment that provides equal access for qualified students in accordance with the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Students who are aware or suspect that they meet ADA qualifications are responsible to complete the specified steps in alerting the Academic Affairs Office. The Academic Affairs Office is the starting point for any student who wishes to file a Disability Accommodation Application and take advantage of the Life Challenges services.
All undergraduate LPC students are enrolled in the Disciplines of Life course during their first semester unless they have fulfilled this requirement at another college or university. Through Disciplines of Life, students are assigned an upperclassmen peer mentor. Peer mentors help new students adjust to college life and responsibilities and learn how to navigate life at LPC. Students interested in becoming a peer mentor or who are seeking a peer mentor after their first semester may contact Josh Arnold, Senior Director of Student Development.
