Ministry Formation Requirements:

Because we are a school that stresses preparation for local church ministry, students at Life Pacific College are expected to commit to regular attendance and active involvement in ministry at a local church.

A ministry formation grade (pass/fail) will be posted on a student’s transcript each semester— like a class— and students are required to pass this “class” every semester they are registered as a student at LPC. In order to pass, a student must meet chapel requirements and prove involvement in a local church. Local church commitment is stated each semester on the form below and the accountability to church involvement will come as the student turns in the end-of-the-semester form that will be signed off by the student’s ministry overseer.

To register your church for your Ministry Formation requirements, you will need the church’s contact information (name, address, phone number, website) and your overseer’s contact information (name, position, phone number, email).

Exceptions:

For first semester freshmen, the Ministry Formation grade will be dependant upon chapel attendance only. They will make a church declaration when registering for their second semester.

All students who have gone through the chapel petition process and were approved will be graded solely on their church involvement.

All licensed ministers are exempt from the Ministry Formation process, because they actively fulfill their requirements through their ministerial license. However, they must submit the Ministry Formation Appeal by the end of the first full week of classes for tracking purposes. See Ministry Formation Petitions for instructions.
