Why did you choose to go to LIFE?

I felt called to go to school to be an elementary school teacher, and sensed the Lord drawing my heart towards going to Life Pacific College. I also loved the fact that I could go to school to learn about the Word of God and learn about being a teacher with a Christian perspective.

What did you like most about going to LIFE?

I enjoyed the relationships that I made at LIFE. When in classes, the dorms, or at campus events, I know that the Lord used relationships with people in the body of Christ here at LIFE to sharpen, shape, challenge and change me.

What degree did you graduate with?

BA in Bible with a Christian Teacher minor.

What do you do now?

I work at Foothill Christian School as a substitute teacher and a summer school teacher. I also work in the Bookstore at LIFE and oversee LPC Small Groups with my amazing husband Ken.

How did LIFE prepare you for what you are doing now?

The heart of serving others while serving as a Resident Director and a student at LIFE prepared me to serve and love God's people in relationships. Whether I am teaching or working at LIFE, I know that loving and caring for people is the most important priority we could have.

What was your favorite class at LIFE and why?

This is a tough question, because there are so many fantastic classes here, but I would say Marriage and Family with Prof. Barbara Middlebrook. Every time I would go to class, I never knew what to expect. I was married over 8 years when I took this class and learned great truths, that if applied, could really bless your marriage. I enjoyed this class tremendously, especially the stories Barbara would share with all the wit and charm that she is known for. You could be in for the ride of your life in this class!

Did you participate in any extra curricular activities while at LIFE? If so, what and which one was your favorite?

I participated in a lot of dorm events, on campus women's ministries and ASB. I really enjoyed them all, but if I have to pick a favorite, I choose dorm events. I enjoyed the dodgeball tournaments, dorm toga parties, girl's night out, girl's skit nights and much more. It was a blast!
