Why did you choose to go to LIFE?

I didn't want to move too far from my home which is about 45 minutes away from LIFE; so I began to search for Bible colleges in Southern California. I found very few but when I found LIFE something about it just clicked. I visited the campus and loved it. This was also the only school I ended up applying to. When I got in, I knew it was where God wanted me.

What have you liked most about LIFE since you’ve started attending?

I like that even in the craziness of all the homework and class work the professors are constantly reminding us that above all our schoolwork, our relationship with God and our love for his word should come first.

What is your favorite class at LIFE and why?

My favorite class is probably Intro. To Biblical Literature because in such a short time I have an amazing new sense of understanding for the Word of God, or Biblical Languages and Exegesis. Even though it's not the easiest class, from it I'm gaining a lot of knowledge about my faith.

What piece of advice would you give to someone considering LIFE?

I wish I had better prepared myself in my relationship with God. Being in an environment where all my studies are about God and the Bible it is really easy to give up on my time with God because I'm studying about Him so much.

I noticed you have a tattoo on your back. What does it mean?

My tattoo is of a seraphim, it's a creature in Heaven whose purpose is to worship the Lord. They are spoken about in Isaiah's vision [Ch. 6] and also in John's vision of Heaven [ Rev. Ch. 4]. In both cases they are singing the same thing, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty." Worship is one of my favorite things about my relationship with God because I feel that it best communicates my love towards Him. I guess you could say they are my favorite Biblical character because all they do is worship the Lord and that is what I desire my life to be, worship.
