Dean’s List
At the conclusion of each grading period, the VP of Academic Affairs posts an honor roll called the Dean’s List. Its purpose is to recognize and encourage scholastic achievement. To qualify, a student must have pursued an academic load of at least 12 units and have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or above.
Commencement Honors
Students are selected for graduation honors according to their individual merit. In order to be considered for graduation honors, a student must:
1) Exemplify excellent Christian character in attitude and spirit;
2) Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 for courses taken at LIFE;
3) Have completed 48 units of on-campus course work at LIFE prior to the semester of their graduation for B.A. degree, or have completed 40 units of on-campus course work at LIFE prior to the semester for an A.A. or B.Th. degree. Graduation with honors requires the following Grade Point Average (GPA):
cum laude 3.50
magna cum laude 3.70
summa cum laude 3.90
Election to Delta Epsilon Chi
The faculty of the college elects a limited number of graduates each year to this Honor Society of the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) based upon individual scholastic achievement, approved Christian character, and demonstrated leadership ability
